Only One Available. This is a fine pitted example of a crude American made socket bayonet in the Brown Bess style, dating to the 1770s. There are no existing markings and the construction is rather crude, perfect for this period and for early American manufacture. It was certainly American made for a Brown Bess musket, which they used extensively during the war. This example came to us from the Larry Thomas American Edged Weapon Museum
